Cardiff – Studio 3
Carmarthen – TL04
Lampeter – 1st floor of the Students’ Union
London – WH2
Swansea – SU Offices, Dylan Thomas Centre
You can find the agenda and papers for the event here.
We will be discussing the outcomes of the Democracy Review. It is vital that this is discussed and voted on by as many students as possible. The structures of the Students’ Union has not been reviewed in ten years, so it is important that as many of us as possible come together to discuss the outcomes of this year long process. You can read the report and proposals here.
We will also be looking at a whole new way for students to engage clubs and societies, and how they are supported to do so.
Most importantly, you have the opportunity to submit motions to the meeting. What do you think the University needs to change? What do you want the Students’ Union to focus on next year.
What is a motion though? A motion is a student-submitted idea that gets presented and debated at the AGM for a chance to become Union policy. To submit an idea, you need to complete the Motion template form and have another student second your idea. Once you have done that, send your form to studentvoice@uwtsd.ac.uk.
Motions need to be submitted in advance of our AGM by the 9th May.
