Freshers Mixer 2026

Whether you're brand new to university or returning for another year, our Freshers Mixer is the perfect opportunity to meet fellow students in a relaxed and welcoming setting. If you're coming on your own, don't worry – you're welcome to purchase a ticket for a friend to join you too!

Enjoy complimentary drinks voucher, grab some SU merchandise giveaways, and take part in fun activities and icebreakers designed to help everyone get to know each other. We'll also have music throughout the evening to keep the atmosphere buzzing.

Make sure to stop by our photo area, complete with plenty of props for some memorable (and hilarious!) pictures with your new friends.

A bar will be available in the room, with 10% discount if you bring yout student card!

When the mixer comes to an end, the night doesn't have to! Why not carry on at Saloon and continue  the celebrations, or take the short walk back to your accommodation? The venue is conveniently located just off of Little Wind Street near all the hustle and bustle of Swansea night life!

We can't wait to welcome you for an evening of fun, friendships, and a fantastic start to the academic year!

Accessibility
•    This venue is very central and right next to many other bars and restaurants, it is on a bus route and easy walking distance from most student accommodations.

•    The area we have is private to us and has it's own bar and access to outside seating if needed on the balcony.

Important - This venue does not have a lift, so may be inaccessible to some.  We are able to section off one set of stairs to be a quieter entrance for anyone who needs a bit more time to enter, just state this when purchasing your ticket. 
 
There is a possibility we will be able to offer an option for those who cannot go up the stairs at all, if this is you then please reach out to su.opps@uwtsd.ac.uk and we can discuss your individual situation.
 
Please note that we try our best to ensure most if not all of our activities are accessible as can be throughout the Academic year and are always keen to learn how we can improve and better peoples experiences at our events.
