Community Cupboard – Bring What You Can, Take What You Need!

Location: Ground floor Dylan Thomas Centre/ Date and Time: 25/09/2025 2pm until 4pm

As part of your first week at UWTSD, we’re opening the doors to a space that’s all about sharing, supporting, and looking out for each other.

Join us and the wonderful UWTSD staff who made this possible on Thursday 25th September from 2–4pm for an open session at the Community Cupboard — our university sharing space where you can donate useful items or pick up what you need, no questions asked.

Whether you're a new student settling in or a returning one, you're welcome to come along — and feel free to bring friends or family too. 

During this time, the Students’ Union team will be based in the Dylan Thomas Centre, ready to direct you to the cupboard and help you understand how it works, whether you're dropping items off, collecting essentials, or just curious.

The University are aiming for the new Community Cupboard room to be fully set up and ready by the time you start — so come check it out, contribute if you can, and take away anything that will help make your start to uni life/general life a little easier.

Important Information

• You do not need to book on to this event, please just show up between the times listed. 
• Refreshments will be given out on a first come, first served basis. 
• You can attend with people who are not UWTSD students also as this is a community project.
• Following on from this open session, the Community Cupboard will be open every Monday to Friday 10am until 4pm for students and the local community to utilise.
